CACI Microdermabrasion Facial
CACI Microdermabrasion treatment is the ultimate skincare...
for men too!
We replace old dead skin cells with new cells automatically every day of our lives. Unfortunately, as we get older this process of exfoliation and cell renewal completely slows down. When dead skin cells are removed it reveals the younger, softer looking skin below.
Microdermabrasion is the Rolls Royce of exfoliation, skin rejuvenation and skin resurfacing. It’s a client favourite as it gives immediate results. Skin appears instantly brighter whilst looking and feeling smoother. The skin is left deeply hydrated after the microcurrent is pushed through a hyaluronic acid mask (Hydro Mask is shown in images) which also stimulates more collagen production.
CACI Microdermabrasion facials use an orbital disposable head to slough away all the dead skin cells. Throughout the microdermabrasion treatment LED light therapy is used simultaneously which is clinically proven to stimulate more collagen production and is also renowned for its antibacterial benefits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Microdermabrasion and Dermabrasion are two terms that have the same meaning. It is a cosmetic treatment where the trained therapist removes the stratum corneum which is the outermost layer of the skin. This is carefully done using light abrasion, the tips used are available in 3 textures – fine, medium or course. By removing the outer layer of dead skin it enables skin care and serums to be absorbed more easily.
Absolutely yes! Even after one microdermabrasion treatment your skin will noticeably look and feel smoother.
We regularly get asked how to get rid of blackheads/whiteheads/milia safely. Microdermabrasion is the best blackhead remover as there is no risk of scarring or causing trauma to the skin that is achieved when popping blackheads or squeezing whiteheads. We strongly advise that clients refrain from doing their own blackhead extraction at home. If there are numerous open pores and blackheads an initial course of weekly microdermabrasions are often recommended before going onto monthly maintenance. This helps reduce large pores, clogged pores and keep pores clear from sebum and congestion. We can also recommend skin care too which complement the blackhead treatment.
Microdermabrasion is extremely effective at keeping bacteria at bay with the use of LED light therapy. The exfoliation the microdermabrasion also reduces the likelihood of pores being blocked by dead skin cells and sebum. Unfortunately, if active acne is present we cannot exfoliate over broken skin. We can however still use the LED light therapy which is extremely antibacterial and healing in the areas which are inflamed and need calming. If you have any doubts please book in for a consultation as there may be a better solution such as the Environ Cool Peels that we offer.
It is recommended that no make-up is worn for 24 hours after your microderm facial.
Fine lines and wrinkles are also plumped as LED light therapy is used simultaneously which continues to stimulate collagen production after the facial is finished. New collagen is also stimulated as the superficial abrasion stimulates the body’s natural repair mechanism as the orbital head is carefully passed over the outer most layer.
No, it’s actually quite a relaxing facial treatment. The skin can however feel a little red and warm after the exfoliation of dead skin cells. To soothe and deeply rehydrate the skin a hyaluronic face mask is applied after the exfoliation.
Each Microdermabrasion treatment costs £45 or alternatively courses of 4 are available which cost £41.25 each.
Often clients may have a dermabrasion facial once a week for significant change to resurface their skin. Whereas, for a client’s generally find that once a month is optimal to retain their radiance and glow.
We strongly recommend no direct sunbeds or sunlight for 7 days after your facial and no make-up for 24 hours.
