- Micro Needling Body - New for 2021!
Micro Needling is one of the popular and effective treatments for overall skin rejuvenation and is suitable for all skin types and all ages. It’s really popular for improving texture and reducing scars and acne scars on the face and body. Open pores are dramatically minimised which allows skin to look and feel smoother. For anti-ageing it's very beneficial as it stimulates new collagen and elastin which reduces all fine lines and wrinkles. If you love micro needling try the most talked about treatment of 2021 and experience our radio frequency micro needling! What happens during Micro Needling Painlessly, ultra fine needles create tiny holes in the skin to initiate a wound healing response, where new collagen and elastin is created. What makes our micro needling so different is that it has a vacuum suction on the hand piece to allow for a safer more precise treatment over loose skin and around the eyes. This suction also allows for deeper penetration of the needles to maximise the results. At the touch of a button the needle depth can be adjusted from .5mm to 4mm for use on the face and body. This means that every treatment is tailored to each client’s concerns. The more of the concern the deeper the needles can go where required. This advanced technology means that there is very little bleeding and zero down time. New collagen and elastin formation is initiated and results continue for up to 6 months. What are Micro Needling Treatments? A full consultation and photos are required before Radio Frequency & Micro Needling. During the consultation treatment areas and areas of concern are established. These areas may vary from a Full Face & Neck, Full Face, Neck, Forehead, Jawline, Half Face and Eye Lift. We can treat as little or as much as you would like. Microneedling Frequently Asked Questions What does Micro Needling do for your skin? Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that has endless clinical trial to prove its effectiveness. It involves pricking the skin with microscopic sterilized needles. The small wounds cause trauma and the body goes into a healing response to produce more new collagen and elastin. This heals the skin and makes skin look younger and healthier. You might also hear it called collagen induction therapy aswell. For faster results try the our RF micro needling. How long does it take to see results from micro needling? The needles create “micro-wounds” which trigger your body's wound healing processes to heal your micro wounds immediately. Whilst mild skin tightening is experienced within a few days the most dramatic results will not be visible for about four to six weeks post treatment as new collagen and elastin is formed. Is micro needling worth the money? The benefits make microneedling well worth the spend, once you try it you’ll be hooked. The treatment boosts collagen and helps to tighten and lift skin on the face. Microneedling are also ideal for treating acne scars, fine lines, and even stretch marks. For faster results see our RF Micro Needling Is Micro Needling painful? Our medical device isn't overly painful at all and requires no numbing cream at all. There is a vacuum on our device which makes the treatment more comfortable and there is hardly any redness or down time. What is better Microneedling or laser? There are benefits to both, laser treatments can often provide quicker, more dramatic, long lasting results than microneedling treatments. However, there is significantly more down time with laser that can last 5-7 days post Laser treatment. With Micro needling there is little or zero down time and both ultimately stimulate more collagen and elastin. We recommend that RF micro needling is significantly better than micro needling. - What is pigmentation?
You can find pigmentation or hyperpigmentation anywhere on the body, they are darkened patches on the skin that can vary in size, they give the skin an uneven skin tone. Most common types of pigmentation are Melasma, Chloasma, Sunspots, Age Spots, Liver Spots, Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation and Freckles. When pigmentation is left untreated it will get worse and overtime as the melanin is pushed closer to the surface of the skin. Pigmentation cannot be cured but with the correct professional advice it can be managed effortlessly and you can experience a flawless more even skin tone as long as treatment and skincare are maintained. What causes pigmentation? Over production of melanin which is caused by a number of issues such as: sun exposure, hormones, and skin trauma from post inflammation. Sun exposure: If we don't apply SPF daily to protect our skin then we are more likely to end up with excessive pigmentation that will become more noticeable as we age. This is because sun exposure causes immediate pigment darkening. Also, while many love their freckles, there are many that don't. Freckles are generally caused by sun damage but also a person's genetics can be the reason why someone has freckles. They're very common in lighter skin tones and hair colour. Skin trauma: Spots popping and popping pimples causes trauma to the skin which will cause post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, these are pigmented spots that may appear brown or red. To prevent post inflammatory hyperpigmentation stop being a pimple popper! Even blackhead popping is a no go, squeezing blackheads is forbidden, please refrain from all spot squeezing!!!! Hormones: Melasma and chloasma (also known as the pregnancy mask) are forms of pigmentation on the face that ladies often experience during due to a change in hormones. The difference between Melasma and hyperpigmentation is that Melasma is always symmetrical on the face, it’s almost like a butterfly affect and is defined by patches on the lip, forehead, cheeks and chin. Medications can also affect hormones which can also cause over production of melanin in the skin creating more pigmentation. How to treat pigmentation & hyperpigmentation: For healthy even skin tone we recommend the following as a good basic routine to protect the DNA of the cell Nucleus and to keep skin glowing. Firstly, to prevent further damage to the skin a daily SPF is essential to protect the skin. Secondly, we recommend a form of vitamin A that is suitable to the client’s needs which may be a Retinol or prescription strength vitamin A such as Tretinoin. Thirdly to enhance results and to increase product absorption we always recommend a skin specific exfoliator such as Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid. We also off a range of clinical treatments to intensively treat the skin and get those results faster. Would you go to the gym and them eat a McDonalds afterwards? This is like having advanced clinical Laser Treatments/Micro-Needling/IPL treatments and then putting shea butter on your face. For complete skin rejuvenation in the fastest time possible we combine advanced skincare, clinical treatments with skin specific supplements to treat the skin from within. To create healthier more even skin tone we can combine clinical treatments, skin supplements and good skin care to help minimise the current appearance of pigmentation but also stop the formation of any new pigmentation. Depending on your skin tone will determine how we can treat your skin. (see Fitzpatrick scale Blog too) Anti-Ageing Treatment Recommendations IPL Photo Treatments (only suitable for Fitzpatrick 1-4) Peels Treatments for Melasma / Chloasma: We wouldn’t recommend any Laser, Radiofrequency Micro-needling or IPL Photo treatments as they all generate heat which over time may cause the Melasma to come back worse. These treatments get rid of pigmentation initially but its very likely it will come back worse. Melasma is effectively treated with Obagi Medical, we offer 14 Skin Transformations to treat the most stubborn pigmentation. For Melasma we would recommend Peels and 14-week skin transformation kit by Obagi Medical skincare to even out skin tone. Both options are suitable for all skin of colour. Our supplements: (Fitzpatrick 1-6) Skin Complete Skin Vit C Our Skin Care (Fitzpatrick 1-6) Environ - Mild-moderate pigmentation Obagi - Moderate - severe pigmentation and melasma.
- What is fractional RF Micro-Needling?
Fractional RF micro-needling uses ultra fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin, this stimulates your collagen and elastin fibres in a non-traumatic wound healing response. Our focus Dual device, combines brand new technology with a use of vacuum suction to allow deeper and more precise penetration of the needles into the skin. Our Radio Frequency microneedling uses an insulated tip that allows the radio frequency to be delivered in a much more controlled manner through the entire needle, where older devices can only deliver the Radio Frequency energy to the tip of the needle which increases the pain during the treatment and elevates the risk of burning and bleeding. What skin concerns can you treat with fractional RF micro-needling? This treatment is great for anyone suffering with acne scarring, scarring, open or large pores, stretch marks and uneven skin texture. The device is perfect for anyone looking to improve their overall skin tone and texture, as well as a concern with ageing and skin laxity. The machine works by combining two effective treatments in one, as Microneedling allows for better penetration and radio frequency being delivered through the micro-needles will stimulate the collagen regeneration, resulting in a plumper, firmer skin tone and a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. Is the Focus Dual RF micro-needling better than micro-needling? Yes. Our RF microneedling is an innovative new technology that combines the effects of traditional microneedling with the incredible powers of targeted radio frequency that will overall achieve better results by treating skin concerns and regenerating the skin own structure. Traditional Microneedling is painful and leaves you with significant downtime from bleeding during treatment and swelling in the areas. Our RF micro-needling will ultimately give you a much better result with little to no downtime due to its unique vacuum suction technology and fully insulated tips. What does this mean? When performing the RF Microneedling, our machine lightly sucks up small sections of the skin to administer the microneedle safely and deeply into the skin, in a much more controlled manner lowering the pain felt during treatment. The radio Frequency then runs the entire length of the needle and so cautorises the micro wounds resulting in little to no bleeding and minor inflammation. The side effects of our RadioFrequency Microneedling are more collagen, more elastin, plumper/firmer skin and a more even complexion. How many treatments do i need? The number of sessions you will need will very much depend on YOUR concerns, YOUR end goal and YOUR desire for results. During your initial consultation we will assess your skin, your goals and your desired outcome in order to establish a plan that is right for YOU. We do advise that most people will need 3-5 sessions, however this could change depending on the severity of your concern and area being treated. Is there any downtime? Unlike other forms of micro-needling you won't get a lot of downtime with this treatment, this is due to insulated tips being used. Our Focus Dual device is also the first and only device with the vacuum suction technology that allows us to precisely deliver the needles to the correct level for treatment of your concerns. The heat from the RF is generated along the full length of the needle giving a better thermal effect and as a result there is little to no bleeding, little to no swelling and no lasting damage. You may experience slight pinkness to the face initially after treatment, just like any other facial but this will settle within an hour or two. Is this similar to the treatment Judy Murray had? Yes, Morpheus 8 is a fractional RF Microneedling device however uses older technology. Our Focus Dual RF Microneedling device is the first and only machine that uses brand new technology to increase the comfort of the treatment and decrease the downtime following it. The Focus Dual has two distinct differences to Morpheus 8, the first being the delivery of the RadioFrequency power and the second being the delivery of the needles. 1. Our device has an Insulated tip which means the radiofrequency energy is delivered the entire length of the needle hitting every layer of the skin for a more controlled thermal reaction, better skin tightening and better overall result from the treatment. Unlike its competitors on the market, the way the radiofrequency is delivered by the Focus Dual device does not damage the surrounding tissue, meaning less downtime and significantly more comfortable treatment. When opting for Morpheus 8 you are advised you will need pain relief and analgesics to be able to cope with the trauma caused during the treatment. With our device, you will not need any pain relief. 2. Focus dual uses specially developed vacuum suction technology that allows the needles to penetrate safely, painlessly and more accurately through the skins layers. all other RD Microneedling devices do not benefit from this technology and so making these devices painful and causing more trauma and downtime for you as a patient. The focus dual treatments are a better and more affordable option to its competitors on the market and will allow you to achieve results you didn't think were possible! Who can have this treatment? Any skin type and concern can have RadioFrequency Microneedling treatments. We can perform the treatment on all fitzpatrick skin types 1-6! If your concern is textural problems, scarring, congestion or you would like to just rejuvenate, lift, tone and tighten your skin then this is the perfect treatment for you! Can fractional RF micro-needling treat lip lines? Yes! The RadioFrequency Microneedling is a great way of targeting fine lines, wrinkles and collagen degradation in any small, traditionally sensitive areas. We can adjust our needle depth between 0.5-4mm depths at increments of 0.5mm at a time; unlike machines such as Morpheus 8 and other Microneedling devices on the market that do not have the capabilities to treat at all these depths. Our tips are small enough to target hard to reach areas such as upper lip and eye area, and with the added benefit of being the only RadioFrequency Microneedling device on the market with the innovative vacuum suction technology too, we can safely and painlessly deliver the needles to the right depth to ensure you are getting the best and most effective treatment possible.
