Is the Chemical Peel better than Microdermabrasion?

Traditional microdermabrasion can be very abrasive on the skin and can cause micro tears. This can trap bacteria, dead skin and trap oils in the pores; this can result in further breakouts or congestion. Microdermabrasion is a short term solution, with results lasting roughly 48-72 hours. Whereas, chemical peels gently eat away at the dead skin cells and unclog the pores, whilst also rebalancing the skin’s moisture levels. Chemical peels are non-abrasive and have little or no downtime. You will see an instant and lasting glow to the skin, after one treatment. Naturally we would always recommend a course of peels for optimum results. Regular peels encourage the healthy skin cells to rise to the surface of the skin and product penetration is also maximised.
