Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy is what is known in clinic as the Fiji Filter Facial. This is because skin is left so much clearer photos can look filtered. It’s similar to a Laser skin treatment as it uses light energy to reduce pigmentation and reduce vascular concerns such as redness, veins and rosacea. In Autumn 2023 Fiji Skin Clinic upgraded their previous medical IPL laser to Harmony XL Pro for two reasons.

It can safely treat higher skin tones from Fitzpatrick 1-4 – unlike old traditional IPL which can only treat Fitzpatrick 1-3.
It’s pain free – unlike old traditional IPL which feels like hot fat being splattered on the skin.

At Fiji Skin Clinic we also regularly perform a peel immediately before all IPL treatments for those who wish to see even quicker results. Simply ask your practitioner to add it on, booking is required in advance of IPL treatment as more time is required.
