What are the contraindications for Laser Hair Removal
If you have any underlying health condition and or are taking any medications other than the contraceptive pill please email info@fijiskinclinic.co.uk to seek advice for Laser Hair Removal before booking your appointment.
BEFORE
- For facial laser hair removal Stop all forms of topical Vitamin A such as Retinol & prescription creams and Vitamin A and all acid/granular exfoliators 5 days before treatment.
- No sun/sun bed exposure 48 hours before treatment
- No fake tan 10 days before your treatment in the areas we are treating. Your treatment will be cancelled and you will be charged a £25 booking deposit if you arrive with fake tan on and we are unable to treat you.
AFTER
- No sun/sun bed exposure 2 weeks after treatment as there is a risk of hyperpigmentation after all laser treatments
- SPF must be applied in the morning and topped up regularly through the day
- Reintroduce Vitamin A / Retinol / & prescription creams/Vitamin A and all acid/granular exfoliators 5 days post treatment.
If you are on prescription skincare, please seek advice from your practitioner to advise how soon you are able to reapply after treatment.
