What are the disadvantages of HiFU?

HIFU has been around for decades. Older HIFU devices  were reported to be extremely painful and the results were limited. our focus Dual device is the latest device on the market which has focused HIFU and is pain-free. Clients my experience very slight redness post treatment which usually disappears within a few hours then maybe slight sensitivity in the area which usually disappears within a few days

Can HiFU be used on the body?

Hifu is suitable for contouring the whole body. Popular areas are stomachs especially postpartum to get rid of excess fat and to tighten skin after pregnancy. Literally all areas of the body can be treated painlessly and effortlessly with zero downtime. It can even tighten the skin above the knees and reduce the crepy skin look.

X Close

Does HiFU reduce belly fat?

The stomach area is the most popular area of the body to be treated with a Hifu. There are significant clinical studies to show the effectiveness of fat reduction & skin tightening after HIFU treatments.

The benefit of a Hifu over other modes of fat reduction treatment is that not only will the fat be destroyed permanently the skin will also be tightened at the same time. Many other modes of fat reduction do not allow for skin tightening. The last thing anybody would want is to have fat reduction and then be left with loose crepey skin.

X Close

Can you do HiFU on thighs?

The whole thigh area can be treated or we can just focus on single smaller areas such as the inner thigh. Not only does HIFU destroy fat cells it will also tighten the skin which will allow the legs to look smoother and more contoured.

X Close

Which parts of the body can you treat with HiFU?

We can literally treat the whole body with Hifu such as double chins, turkey necks, crepey skin on thighs, cellulite, stomach, flanks, upper arms etc..

X Close

Does fat come back after HiFU?

During Hifu fat cells are permanently destroyed for good. As with all treatments we always recommend a healthy diet to ensure results are maintained. If a client exceeds that daily calorific intake it is still possible to put weight on as new fat cells are deposited on the body. This is exactly the same as liposuction. Even if a client has liposuction if they then continue to excessively exceed their daily calorific intake post surgery then they will naturally put weight back on as new fat cells will be grown

X Close

Can you gain fat after HiFU fat loss?

It must be stressed that HIFU is not a weight loss procedure however, it does permanently destroy fat cells. Once fat cells are destroyed using HIFU they are gone. As with all body contouring options, if after treatment a client exceeds their daily calorific and the excess is not burnt off then fat and weight can be put back on again.

X Close

How many HiFU treatments are needed for tummy?

We would always recommend three treatments for each area for optimum results.

X Close

How long do HiFU results last?

These sessions will be done every 3 to 8 weeks. This lets your skin heal between treatments. After the initial set of treatments, the results will last about 1 year. It’s recommended to have a touch-up session once a year to maintain your desired results.

X Close

Does HiFU tighten loose skin?

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a relatively new cosmetic treatment for skin tightening that some consider a non-invasive and painless replacement for face lifts. It uses ultrasound energy to encourage the production of collagen, which results in firmer skin.

X Close

What age is best for HiFU?

HIFU treatment is good for someone who is starting to notice some sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles, or loss of skin elasticity. Clients are generally aged from 30 years upwards. However to get rid of double chins we see clients much younger. This maybe because of lifestyle and poor posture that creates a double chin. With HIFU we can be really specific and just target chin fat, the fat cells are permanently destroyed with no pain or downtime

X Close

Where does the fat go after HiFU?

HIFU Body sculpting / HIFU body contouring is safe and pain free. The fat cells are permanently destroyed and the body naturally breaks the fat down and excretes it through the lymphatics.

X Close

Can HiFU damage your skin?

There is no risk with our latest HIFU device. Traditional old HIFU equipment can be painful and ineffective if the correct areas are not targeted. Our device specifically targets the upper dermal, lower dermal and SMAS layers of the skin which is where the energy is required for optimum results.

X Close

How painful is HiFU?

The treatment using our device (Focus Dual) is the latest technology which is not painful, has no downtime and requires no pain relief. Old traditional HIFU is carried out after administering anaesthetic creams and pain relief. Pain at the end of the treatment is rare, although clients may feel a very slight sensitivity around the jawline which reduces over a day or so. HIFU is a safe treatment because the ultrasound energy targets only the tissue that is present deep below the surface of your skin. Clients can be assured that HIFU will not cause any damage to the upper layers of the skin. It will do the opposite and rejuvenate the skin.

X Close

Does HiFU burn fat?

Yes medical HIFU devices that we have will reduce fat on the face and body when done properly with the right hand pieces. Excess facial fat pockets sag with age which create jowls, double chin, turkey necks etc. Chubby cheeks can be significantly reduced with our medical device using HIFU.

X Close

Is it OK to have fillers after HiFU?

Please avoid injectables/filler for 7 days post HIFU treatment. We also advise that clients wait 4 weeks after injectables or filler before having further HIFU treatment to give the injectables time to settle into the area worked on.

It is generally safe to have dermal fillers after a High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) treatment, but timing and order are crucial to achieve the best results and avoid complications. Applying fillers too soon after HIFU treatment might interfere with this natural regenerative process. HIFU targets deeper layers of skin, performing it after fillers could potentially affect the longevity or positioning of the filler. If fillers are applied before HIFU, there's a small risk of the ultrasound energy altering the filler material. Everyone’s skin and treatment goals are different. If you have any concerns consult us. Our qualified aesthetic practitioners can tailor the timing and approach for combining HIFU and fillers. Always follow post-HIFU aftercare instructions, like avoiding intense heat or skincare actives (e.g., retinoids) immediately after the treatment. If planned properly, combining HIFU and fillers can deliver great results.

X Close

Which is better HIFU or Radio Frequency?

HIFU delivers more precise and more intense fractional ultrasound energy reaching 65 degrees. RF only reaches around 40 degrees so there is less thermal damage to stimulate new collagen. HIFU also goes deep into  the dermal layer which actually reaches the SMAS layer. The SMAS layer is the collagen sheet of tissue which a plastic surgeon would lift and tighten on a facelift. Radio Frequency on the other hand does not go as deep as HIFU. They both have advantages,  this is why we recommend an initial skin consultation for best results.

X Close

Is HIFU good for chubby cheeks?

Yes it reduces fat on the face and body when the specific hand piece is used. Excess facial fats such as jowls, double chin, and chubby cheeks can be reduced whilst the skin is also tightened.

X Close

What are the side effects of HIFU?

  • Traditional HIFU/Ultherapy is known to be painful and require pain relief. Our medical device is pain free, clients may experience a slight tingling sensation or warmth on their skin; however pain relief is not required and the treatment is relatively relaxing.
  • Traditional HIFU/Ultherapy is known to create temporary blotchy skin. This is not the case with our Focus Dual Device, you experience little to no downtime.
  • Swelling and numbness has been reported on older traditional devices but this has not been the case with the Focus Dual.
  • The major side effect from HIFU is a lifted tighter face and more defined cheekbones and jawline.
  • You will get a more chiseled jawline and chin.
X Close

How long does HIFU face lift last?

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound is also known as Ultrasound Facelift or Ultherapy the most effective latest cosmetic treatment to lift, firm and completely rejuvenate skin. Only 1-3 initial treatments are required and results take up to 12 months to see the full effects.  We always recommend maintenance top up treatments every 12-24 months depending on the age or concerns. We also recommend Radio Frequency Treatments as regular anti-ageing facials to help condition the skin and keep the collagen and elastin production active. Another popular complimentary treatment is Radio Frequency Microneedling

X Close

What does HIFU do?

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a relatively recent cosmetic treatment for contouring the face by skin tightening and fat removal from around the jawline and jowl area. Our device is a non-invasive and a painless replacement for face lifts. It uses ultrasound energy for the formation of new collagen and elastin, which results in firmer skin and more toned skin whilst reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

X Close

WHAT IS HIFU & IS IT PAINFUL?

Our device is the latest non-surgical facelift to hit the market that allows a pain-free treatment. This is unlike any other old traditional HIFU out there as they can be painful. It can be used for defining the jawline and creating contoured cheekbone definition. It also gives an eye lift to reduce hooded eyes and can also be used to tighten turkey necks.

X Close

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING OUR HIFU TREATMENT

HIFU uses heat (65 degrees) on 4 different layers of skin to lift and tighten the skin. It dramatically increases new collagen and elastin to give a more youthful contoured face.

There are 4 different hand pieces that work at 4 different depths in the skin. Ultrasound gel is applied to the skin and the hand piece is slowly and painlessly glided over the treatment area. There are 3 hand pieces that we use for the face. There is a 4th hand piece for the body, all of which work at different depths for optimal results. Traditional HIFU/Ultherapy is known to be painful and require pain relief. Our medical device is pain free, clients may experience a slight tingling sensation or warmth on their skin; however pain relief is not required and the treatment is relatively relaxing.
