WHY AM I GETTING SKIN TAGS

Skin tags often develop due to friction from skin rubbing against skin or clothing. They are more common in areas like the neck, armpits, and groin. Factors such as ageing, genetics, obesity, and conditions like diabetes can increase the likelihood of developing skin tags. Hormonal changes during pregnancy can also contribute. Maintaining a healthy weight and managing chronic conditions might help reduce their occurrence.

CAN YOU PULL A SKIN TAG OFF?

It is not recommended to pull or cut a skin tag off yourself. This is because skin tags are generally vascular which means that they have a blood supply. By cutting them off yourself can cause uncontrolled bleeding, infection and scarring. Skin tags sometimes have nerves which would also make it very painful. Laser skin tag removal insures that the skin tag is removed, safely and hygienically, whilst minimising the risks of scarring.
